Upstate health care professionals organize and volunteer at the annual National Cancer Survivors Day event in June.

Upstate employees volunteered at the 12th and final Pat's Pavement Pounder in September, which raised over $13,000 for pediatric cancer care and the new Upstate Cancer Center.

Department representatives and managers attended the Community Giving Campaign Kickoff and training in September. With the help of more than 180 dept reps, Upstate hopes to increase participation to 2,000 and raise $650,000 for our community.

Upstate held its 3rd annual Project Search graduation ceremony in June recognizing nine Syracuse high school students with disabilities who completed a year-long educational/job training program at Upstate.

61 members of Team Upstate enjoyed ideal conditions at the annual Syracuse Corporate Challenge in June. Top runners for Upstate included Kevin Neville, Kristen Stebbins, Michele Scardetta and Jill Weatherly.

Several Upstate staff and family members participated in the annual Juneteenth Festival in June.

More than 2,000 participated in the 15th annual Paige's Butterfly Run in June, and raised over $150,000 for pediatric cancer research and patient care at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

Upstate employees volunteered at the annual Miracle Ride in May, which raised more than $50,000 to support pediatric services at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital & the new Upstate Cancer Center.

Team Upstate was the largest team at the 19th Annual AIDS Walk/Run in June. The event raised over $186,000 for prevention programs and to support basic needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.

Team Upstate raised over $5,000 at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in May to support breast cancer education, treatment and research.
