Educational Program

The dynamic curriculum provides hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings under the guidance of 20 faculty members from the Central New York dental community

Residents manage the oral healthcare of hospital inpatients and outpatients, receive operating room experience, and have rotations in several pertinent areas of medicine including:

Complementing the clinical experience, the lecture schedule includes monthly literature reviews and case presentations, weekly treatment planning sessions with attendings, and a major presentation during the year. Continuing education seminars on current research and treatment methodology are also offered. In addition, this program replaces the North East Regional Board (NERB) examination, for licensure in New York State.
