Motion Analysis Core

Motion Analysis Core, located on the first and second floors of the IHP, consists of six digital motion cameras and four piezoelectric force plates aligned to allow both adult and pediatric studies, an overhead track/rail system that can support individuals who have limited standing and ambulation abilities, and an integrated elctromyographic system. This permits a comprehensive analysis of gait, physical performance and related nerve and muscle activity.

A portable motion analysis camera system, in conjunction with the force plates embedded in the track and fitness equipment on the second floor, permit evaluation of more mobile individuals.
