What is the purpose of the study?
The primary purpose is to learn how often patients with type 1 diabetes still make some of their own insulin (as measured by C-Peptide in the blood) and to evaluate the relationship between residual C-Peptide and some characteristics such as glycemic control, less hypoglycemia and fewer complications
