The Department of Radiation Oncology provides an ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) four-year training program in preparation for examination by the American Board of Radiology.
The program objectives focus on patient care, education and research to train physicians to excel in the practice of radiation oncology. Through direct patient care experience and teaching, residents will become proficient in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care with the highest attention being paid to the patient and his or her well being. As the only academic hospital-based radiation oncology facility in Central New York, we serve approximately 1,200 patients per year referred from the entire region and see the full spectrum of neoplastic diseases.Residency Program Highlights
