Figure A. Examples of line artifacts caused by groups of bad detector rows.  These groups of detector rows had different gains and/or offsets than neighboring rows, producing the appearance of horizontal bands across the image. 

 

Figure B. “Ghost” images from previous exposures overlying clinical mammograms (obtained using  pre-release evaluation software, which was later recalled by manufacturer due to these improper erasure artifacts.)
