MRI Tutorial by Prof. Szeverenyi
What is it?
A technology that makes cross-sectional images depicting fat and water in the human body.
How does it work
MRI images a "stuff" and can be thought of like the isotopes injected in a Nuclear Medicine scan. The "stuff" in the case of MRI, however, is magnetization. We don't have it inject anything, but rather have to "grow" it by the application of a strong external magnetic field.
