Local Fire Department gives gift to the Children’s Hospital
The brave men and women of the Belgium Cold Springs Fire Department in Baldwinsville not only serve the people in their local community through their work in at the department, but also help the central New York community through their support of SUNY Upstate Medical University. This fall marks the fourth consecutive year the department has made generous contribution to the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
The $4,000.00 donation was made possible by an annual golf tournament the fire department organizes. This year’s donation will go towards the Pediatric Surgery Endowment campaign. As part of the campaign, Upstate will match the contribution dollar for dollar, making their total contribution to the endowment $8,000.00!
The Pediatric Surgery Endowment is being established to attract highly specialized pediatric surgeons and specialists to ensure that today’s children, and generations to come, will benefit from one of the strongest pediatric surgical programs in the state.
