SUNY Upstate Medical University medical students Danielle Williams MSI, Samantha Jones MS II, Latoya Lawrence MS II and Keisha French MS I worked with staff and faculty to organize a series of Black History events in memory of Eunique Darby and Edward Swain, two local teenagers who were treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia at SUNY Upstate’s Waters Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders. Sadly, both young people died in November 2008.
