Narmin Aliji: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
After completing 3 years of Adult Psychiatry, Narmin decided her passion was children and has completed a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Southern California closer to her family.  She recently just opened a private practice.

Mario Fahed
After completing 4 years of Adult Psychiatry, Mario was accepted to Yale's Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship program to begin in July 2018.  


Hilary Gamble, MD

Hilary Gamble: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Hilary is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University and we were thrilled when she matched in our program.  After completing 3 years of Adult Psychiatry, Hilary was accepted in to our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and graduated in June 2017.  She is currently serving as Clerkship Director and a member of our faculty.

Mark Giordano: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
After completing 4 years of Adult Psychiatry, Mark joined a multidisciplinary clinic in south Florida treating psychiatric patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatry.


Harris

Charles Harris: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Chuck completed 3 years of Adult Psychiatry in June 2013, and, in June 2015, completed a fellowship in  Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  We were thrilled when Chuck decided to stay in the area.  With the assistance of our departmental recruitment committee, we secured 2 positions for him with 2 of our affiliated facilities.  Chuck continued his passion for rural psychiatry and sees children on an outpatient basis at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in Ogdensburg, NY, a small rural town on the Canadian/New York border.  In addition, he sees children & adolescents one day a week at Elmcrest Children's Center in Syracuse, NY.


Kallinicos

Robert Kallinicos: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Rob completed 3 years of Adult Psychiatry in June 2012 and decided to further his training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Upstate and completed his fellowship in June 2014. Upon graduation, Rob secured a job on the inpatient child unit at Hutchings Psychiatric Center,  a local state hospital that specializes in long-term psychiatric care.


Leontieva

Luba Leontieva:  Adult Psychiatry
After completing 4 years of Adult Psychiatry, we were thrilled when Luba accepted a position as an attending on our adult inpatient unit.  Lubas’s main interests are borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, psychological assessment, and brief psychotherapy.  She is thrilled to continue in our department and is looking forward to teaching both residents and medical students.

Eric MacMaster:  Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Eric is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University and we were thrilled when he matched in our program.  After completing 3 years of Adult Psychiatry, Eric was accepted in to our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program beginning July 2014 and upon completion of his fellowship, he joined our faculty in July 2016.

Mirabelle Mattar: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
After completing 3 years of Adult Psychiatry, Mirabelle was accepted in to our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program in June 2017.  She accepted a position as attending faculty at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.


Nastasi

Robert Nastasi: Adult Psychiatry and Pain Management
Rob graduated from our Adult Psychiatry program in June 2013.  Rob was accepted in to the competitive Pain Management Fellowship at Upstate and completed the 1 year fellowship in September 2014.   Rob is currently an attending psychiatrist at the Orlando, FL, VAMC where he has the opportunity to practice both Psychiatry and Pain Management.

Curtis Phillips:  Addiction & Forensic Psychiatry
Curtis graduated from our Adult Psychiatry residency program in June 2015 and is currently in June 2016, he completed an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Mt. Sinai, Beth Israel. 


Donald Pilch, MD

Donald Pilch:  Adult Psychiatry
Don is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University and we were thrilled when he matched in our program.  He graduated from our Adult Psychiatry resident in June 2014 and promptly opened a private psychiatry practice in a holistic environment just a 7 minute walk from the Upstate Psychiatry Department.


Kamaloshini Puthumana

Kamal Puthumana:  Adult & Forensic Psychiatry
Kamal graduated from the Adult Psychiatry residency in June 2015.  Lucky for us, she was accepted in to our Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship and completed training in June 2016.  Upon graduation, she accepted a position with the Syracuse Veteran's Administration Medical Center in the Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic.  


Ramanathan

Seetha Ramanathan: Adult Psychiatry
Seetha graduated from our program in June 2013 and accepted a position as an outpatient psychiatrist at Hutchings Psychiatric Center, a local state hospital that specializes in long-term psychiatric care. Seetha has stayed on as voluntary faculty and has begun to expand her clinical work into the laboratory-focused area of psychiatric genetics. She continues to work with 4 of our faculty, who are experts in clinical, genetics and imaging research. She is hoping that her research efforts will lead to greater insights into the origins and development of schizophrenia.


Rodriguez

Yajaira Rodriguez: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
After completing 4 years of Adult Psychiatry training in June 2013, Yajaira made the decision to enter a Child Psychiatry & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Upstate and completed her fellowship in June 2015.  We were thrilled to hear that Yajaira decided to stay in the area and is working in an outpatient setting at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY.


Singarayer

Jennifer Singarayer: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
After completing 3 years of Adult Psychiatry training and a 2 year Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Upstate, we are thrilled Jennifer decided to stay in Syracuse.  In addition, she is an inpatient child psychiatrist at a local facility, Hutchings Psychiatric Center.  


Diane St. Fleur

Diane St. Fleur: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Diane is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University and we were thrilled when she matched in our program.  She graduated from our Adult Psychiatry resident in June 2014 and was accepted in to our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and completed training in June 2016. Diane continued her training in our Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship and completed in June 2017.  Diane is currently practicing in California.

Jamie graduated from the Adult Psychiatry residency in June 2014 and started a job as an attending with the VA Medical Center in Albany, NY.


Katherine Cerio, MD

Kate Cerio: Adult Psychiatry
Kate served as co-chief and graduated from our Adult Psychiatry program in June 2013. We are thrilled she decided to remain in Syracuse and is currently working at the Veteran's Behavior and Outpatient Clinic where she continues to supervise our residnets.

Nisha Warikoo: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
After completing 3 years of Adult Psychiatry training, Nisha furthered her training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Washington in Seattle. She hopes to pursue her passion in clinical work and pediatric bipolar clinical research.


Werner

Allison Werner: Adult Psychiatry
Allison graduated from our program in June 2013 and accepted a position as a Psychiatrist at Berkshire Medical Center in Massachusetts. She is primarily in a partial hospitalization program and primary care outreach team. Allison has specific interests in psychodynamic, DDP, CBT (individual and group) and group DBT and hopes to continue using these specific therapies she has learned from our program in her practice.

Brandon Yeager: Adult Psychiatry
After completing 4  years of Adult Psychiatry, Brandon moved out west to Oregon and is currently working in an outpatient clinic in the Salem area.
