Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy, performed by a Physical Therapist or a Physical Therapist Assistant, is a dynamic profession which focuses on the restoration, maintenance, and promotion of optimal physical function.

Physical Therapists

Physical therapists are also known as physiotherapy and physiotherapist.

  • Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical function.
  • Provide services to prevent onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.

Educational Requirements

  • Physical Therapists are professionally educated at the college or university level and are required to be licensed in the state which they practice.
