PGY-2 Pharmacotherapy Residency
The PGY-2 Pharmacotherapy Residency is an ASHP-accredited program. The purpose of the PGY-2 Pharmacotherapy Residency at Upstate University Hospital is to prepare individuals to provide quality pharmaceutical care to a diverse patient population in a multitude of practice settings. As per the ASHP definition of the Pharmacotherapy Residency, our program is an organized, directed, post-graduate PGY-2 program that centers on the development of knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to pursue rational drug therapy within the practice areas involving the care of diverse inpatient and outpatient populations presenting.
Training experiences are provided in four week blocks within a 12-month training period. Available learning experiences include:
- Critical Care
- Infectious Diseases
- Internal Medicine
- Cardiology
- Pediatrics
- Emergency Medicine
- Toxicology
- Ambulatory Care
