My research has always focused upon signal transduction and intracellular signaling. During my Ph.D. I studied intracellular signalling in pituitary cells. During my Post-Docs I investigated receptor-mediated phospholipase C activation and Ca2+ mobilization. That got me into the IP3 receptor field which I've been actively researching for the last fourteen years. We are currently focusing on two areas:
- The degradation of IP3 receptors by the ubiquitin / proteasome pathway.
- The regulation of IP3 receptors by phosphorylation.
