Exceptional Family Resources Is a family support agency for developmentally disabled individuals in Central New York which provides educational and other advocacy services, speakers and workshops, linkages to other programs, and information and referral services.
Exceptional Parent Magazine  An excellent website from the premier magazine for families with disabled children. Has lots of information regarding individual disabilities and good links to other sites.
The ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) Focuses on mental retardation, but is an excellent source for links to other developmental disabilities and disability issues
The Spina Bifida Association of America This site contains useful info on Spina Bifida, particular topics, such as latex allergy, legislative issues, and addresses of clinics and parent groups.
Children with Spina Bifida  An excellent resource page for parents, which includes lots of information, including lists of chatrooms and personal web pages of parents
Paralysis Society of America  A national organization for people with spinal cord injuries or disease. Has newsletter, publications, hotline, political action call

disABILITY Information and Resources Jim Lubin, who has transverse myelitis, maintains this excellent site, containing all kinds of information about disabilities for consumers and professionals. Updated regularly.
Disability Statistics Center The purpose of the Disability Statistics Center is to produce and disseminate statistical information on disability and the status of people with disabilities and to establish and monitor indicators of how conditions are changing over time to meet their health, housing, economic and social needs. Many useful links.
Actions without Borders A collection of not-for-profit organizations, services, guides, directories, and publications. Not restricted to disabilities.
National Rehabilitation Information Center A library and information center on disabilities and rehabilitation
