Contact authorities and multidisciplinary team

Chronic Medical Intervention (Chapter 3, pg. 15-16)

If the child has delayed disclosure and does not require immediate or urgent intervention, a full, less hurried examination may be scheduled within one to two weeks.

Contact the appropriate members of your multidisciplinary team. These may include:

  • Child Protective Services (CPS)
  • rape crisis counselor or victim advocate
  • mental health professional
  • law enforcement official or district attorney.
