Course Goals
Improve access to competent care for children who may have

Provide education to medical providers who will be involved in sexual abuse evaluations.
Three options for taking this course...
No CME credit — the book and video tape can be purchased from John's Hopkin's Press or other supplier without taking a pre- or post-test. No continuing education credits will be granted.
CME credit — the professional can register for CME through Upstate Medical University. Complete a pre- and post-test and receive 12 CME credits with achievement of a score of at least 80% on the post-test.
NYS Provider course — we offer the CME credits at a much reduced rate through a grant from the NYS Department of Health Rape Crisis Program

The workbook and its accompanying videotape offer a learning experience for medical professionals who are beginning to work in the area of child sexual abuse. It was designed as a self-study training program as well as a continuing reference. Its case studies and integrated question and answer format facilitate self-paced learning. In addition, the professional is guided to relevant supplemental references.
