Stability:Urine cup- Room Temperature: 2 hour at 15-25 degrees C Refrigerated: 4 hours at 2-8 degrees C
BD Vacutainer system- 72 hours
Container:Urine cup or urine BD Vacutainer Collection System (yellow/red tube)

Additional Information

Urine Cultures are relexed on patients >10 years old with a leukocyte esterase or nitrite positive urine. The microscopic exam will be only be preformed when blood, leukocyte esterase, or nitrite is postitive.
