Gynecologic Oncology Research Opportunities

Clinical research trials are available to our patients through our participation in the National Cancer Institutes cooperative group called, Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) or through a pharmaceutical-sponsored study. The research trials are open to enrollment, depending upon eligibility, in the following disease states:

Ovarian Cancer

  • GOG 225: Diet and lifestyle intervention study for ovarian cancer patients in remission

Uterine Cancer

  • GOG 238: Treatment for pelvic only recurrence of uterine cancer
  • NRG-GY006: Trteatment for Women with Newley Diagnosed Uterine or Vaginal Cancer.

Endometrial Cancer

  • GOG 258: Treatment for advanced endometrial cancer after primary tumor removal surgery

Cervical Cancer

We currently have no trials available for cervical cancer patients.

Clinical research protocols are conducted until specified accrual numbers are met (nationally) or the study is terminated voluntarily by the sponsor. The research team is composed of Dr. Mary Cunningham as Principle Investigator, Dr. W Doug Bunn, Margaret Mahan, RN NP, and Elizabeth Anderson, Clinical Research Associate.
