Gynecologic Oncology Research Opportunities

Clinical research trials are available to our patients through our participation in the National Cancer Institutes cooperative group called, Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) or through a pharmaceutical-sponsored study. The research trials are open to enrollment, depending upon eligibility, in the following disease states:

Ovarian Cancer

  • GOG 212: Maintenance therapy after initial chemotherapy treatment for advanced ovarian disease
  • GOG 213: Treatment for recurrent ovarian cancer
  • GOG 225: Diet and lifestyle intervention study for ovarian cancer patients in remission
  • GOG 235: Biomarker development to improve ovarian cancer screening abilities
  • GOG 241: Treatment for mucinous epithelial ovarian cancer
  • GOG 261: Treatment for newly diagnosed, persistent or recurrent carcinosarcoma (mixed mesodermal tumors) of the uterus or ovary
  • GOG 273: Monitoring side effects of ovarian cancer for patients greater than 70 years old

Uterine Cancer

  • GOG 238: Treatment for pelvic only recurrence of uterine cancer
  • GOG 261: Treatment for newly diagnosed, persistent or recurrent carcinosarcoma (mixed mesodermal tumors) of the uterus or ovary
  • GOG 277: Treatment for uterus limited, high grade uterine leiomyosarcoma

Endometrial Cancer

  • GOG 258: Treatment for advanced endometrial cancer after primary tumor removal surgery

Cervical Cancer

We currently have no trials available for cervical cancer patients.

Clinical research protocols are conducted until specified accrual numbers are met (nationally) or the study is terminated voluntarily by the sponsor.
