Dr. Robert Silverman would like to announce the appointment of Dr. Leah Kauffman, MD as Clinical Associate Professor and Residency Director. Dr. Kaufman has extensive experience as Program Director at Hofstra in New York City. She is a member of the LCME Committee and is an oral examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Eddie HM Sze, MD joins the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Robert Silverman is pleased to announce that Dr. Eddie HM Sze has joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Upstate Medical University as a Clinical Professor and the Director of the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Sze specializes in treating women with bladder and bowel incontinence, uterine prolapse, cystocele, rectocele, enterocele, vaginal vault prolapse, and other pelvic floor disorders.
His state of the art urodynamic suite has capabilities to perform multichannel urodynamic studies, cystoscopy, biofeedback, pelvic floor electrical stimulation, and collagen injection in a comfortable, convenient environment. It is located in the Crouse Physicians' Office Building at 725 Irving Avenue, Suite 600 in Syracuse.
Dr. Sze received his residency training at the State University of New York - Upstate Medical University and completed his fellowship in Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to joining Upstate Medical University, he was a faculty member at East Carolina, Yale and West Virginia Universities. He has authored more than 50 scientific papers and book chapters in his subspecialty, and focused his research on the effect of childbirth on the maternal pelvic floor and the surgical management of vaginal prolapse. Dr. Sze is certified by The American Board of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.

Dr. Eddie HM Sze, a well-known physician in his field of Urogynecology, has joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the WVU School of Medicine. He specializes in treating women with bowel and bladder incontinence and dropped pelvic organs using non-surgical and surgical methods. His patients have frequently recognized Dr. Sze as a caring physician dedicated to improving their quality of life.

Dr. Robert Silverman, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Unzila A. Nayeri, MD, MPH as Assistant Professor to the Department. Dr. Nayeri will be a great asset to the Department. Dr. Nayeri is a member of the Division of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, and recently completed her Fellowship training in this specialty. The addition of this new faculty member will enhance patient care and administrative missions in the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology and for the Upstate Medical University Community. Welcome Dr. Nayeri to the Department.
