Infertility comes as a surprise to most couples. It is important to realize that infertility is more than just a physical condition. It involves many emotional and social issues as well. However, approximately 10% to 15% of couples are faced with infertility, that means more then six million couples in the United States, who are of reproductive age, are affected by the inability to conceive naturally. To understand why pregnancy does not happen to you, our doctors will help you find the reason or reasons.
There are four main factors leading to infertility, they are:
- Ovulation factor
- Tubes & uterus factor
- Male factor
- Currently unknown factors
When a couple has inability to conceive after one year of regular unprotected intercourse, one or both of the partners may be experiencing these factors.
