Community Campus welcomes new vascular services office

SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- Upstate University Hospital’s Community Campus has put the welcome mat out for Upstate Vascular. The new office is located in suite 3K in Physician’s Office Building North, and provides evaluation, diagnostic management and treatment for many diseases affecting the vascular system.

“I am pleased to welcome this team of providers to the Community Campus,” said Nancy Daoust, chief administrative officer. “This campus has long offered vascular services, and the addition of this new office makes care more accessible for the patients we serve.”

The vascular team includes vascular surgeons, two physician assistants, along with nursing and administrative support staff. Together, they work to support an integrative approach to patient and family-centered care throughout the health care experience--from the initial referral into the practice to patient and family education and home care follow up.

The office space includes four patient exam rooms and an adjacent laboratory facility. The office is a patient-friendly space for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the arteries, including aneurysms, ischemia of the limbs, deep vein thrombosis and varicose veins.

The location of the new office space provides patients easy access to other hospital-based ancillary services at the Community Campus, including pre-admission testing, radiology, Laboratory Alliance, pharmacy and social services.

Upstate’s downtown Syracuse vascular office is located at University Hospital. In addition, Upstate provides outpatient vascular clinical services at satellite locations to offer patients from outside Syracuse a more convenient location to receive care. These locations include Ithaca, Oswego and Watertown.
