Annual Radiothon for Kids set to air Sept. 10, 11

The 12th Annual Radiothon for Kids benefiting Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital will broadcast live from Upstate University Hospital’s Downtown Campus on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 10 and 11.

The Upstate Foundation is partnering with Clear Channel Radio for this annual fundraiser. To date, Radiothon for Kids has raised more than $750,000 to support new equipment, toys, the Family Resource Center, Safe Kids Upstate NY and children’s hospital programs, including research, educational training and the Child Life Program.

“Radiothon is all about sharing the real-life stories of our children’s hospital, from the families that have had experiences here. It’s really special,” said Toni Gary from the Foundation for Upstate. “It’s a meaningful event to everyone involved: the patients, their families, donors and staff. Everyone gets involved.”

Radiothon for Kids will broadcast live from the lobby of Upstate University Hospital and will air from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Syracuse Clear Channel stations: Y94 FM, WSYR Radio, Hot 107.9, B104.7, and Power620.

Donations can be made online now and throughout Radiothon by visiting Radiothon for Kids or Clear Channel stations.
