Our endocrinology and diabetes services are provided at the Joslin Diabetes Center/University Endocrinologists at SUNY Upstate Medical University, which is a complete resource for endocrinology and diabetes care, education and research.
Comprehensive services are provided on an outpatient and inpatient basis.
Educational services by the nurse educators, dietitians, psychologists and exercise physiologist include one-on-one assessment and counseling and small special topic seminars and group classes.
The inpatient diabetes treatment unit is staffed by trained nurses and, along with expert medical care, provide educational, nutritional, psychosocial and exercise services. Other specialists include: neurologists, cardiologists, vascular surgeons, nephrologists, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, urologists, and others consult as needed for the management of diabetes - related complications, and participate in our education programs.
