Medical Alumni Writing Seminar
Workshop led by Dr. Deirdre Neilen and Dr. Rebecca Garden from Upstate's Center for Bioethics and Humanities. The winner of the Medical Alumni Writing Award will read the winning selection. Discussion on how creative writing can deepen the connections that link physicians, patients, and caregivers and provide them more control over suffering and illness.

Class of 1958 10-year reunion
Take a walk down memory lane and relive your medical school days! Visit our historical exhibits, where Elise Calvi, Curator of Historical Collections at the Health Sciences Library, will speak briefly about the exhibit and answer questions. Guided tours of the Library will be held from 1:00-3:00, though you are welcome to view the exhibits and tour the Library anytime on Friday and Saturday.

Rediscovering the Class of 1885
Rediscovering the Class of 1885, a new exhibit at SUNY Upstate Medical University's Health Sciences Library, celebrates the recent discovery of 25 19th century portrait photographs. The exhibit offers glimpses of the lives of medical students in Syracuse in the late 19th century through photographs, medical instruments, student notebooks, exams and other original documents from the library's Historical Collections.
