Clinical Interests

  • Dr. Jain's clinical interests include pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery for pancreatic cancer, hepatocellular cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and cancer metastases to the liver. He is also interested in the surgical treatment of other gastrointestinal cancers (stomach and small bowel cancer), as well as surgery to relieve chronic pancreatitis.

Education Interests

  • Dr. Jain is active in the education of medical students and surgical residents. In his previous postion at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, he served as the Associate Program Director for the surgical residency.

Research Interests

  • Tumor Immunology and Oncology. Dr. Jain is interested in the development of novel immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer. Immunotherapies are designed to activate sustained immune responses against cancer, especially colorectal and other cancers that have spread to the liver. His reseach has been funded by grants from the American Cancer Society as well as the Veterans Administration.
