Required Examinations
The State University of New York Upstate Medical University requires that prospective MD/PhDstudents take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). All applicants must provide official copies of examination scores, which is part of the College of Medicine application and need not be resubmitted when applying to the MD/PhD program.
International students must also provide clear evidence of English proficiency by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the Test of Spoken English (TSE), and by submitting these scores to the MD/PhD Program along with MCAT scores (also refer to International Student Admissions).
