ScienceDirect

is a cooperative effort of SUNYConnect and Elsevier Science providing comprehensive coverage of literature across all fields of science,** through single-source, full-text, online access. Included in SUNY ScienceDirect collection are over 100 journals in the Health Sciences Libray's print journal collection, plus over 600 journal titles available in electronic format only. The service allows users to browse the list of subscribed journals, link to tables of contents, view article abstracts, and print the full article in PDF and HTML formats.

ScienceDirect can be accessed from any workstation on the campus network or through LEAP (off campus access for Upstate affiliates). Link to ScienceDirect from the Library home page, or search for a journal title in the Upstate Journal Database.

To access a subscribed journal from the ScienceDirect home page:

Click on Publications (upper left hand corner of page)
Choose Subscribed Journals from the "Display" drop down box
Click on the letter of the first word in the journal's title. (Note: you may also sort by Subject)
A green icon indicates journals in the SUNYConnect collection. The complete list ("All Journals") includes non-subscribed titles, for which abstracts only are available.
