Angioplasty
This 3D model demonstrates how angioplasty works.
- In cutaway form, first see an artery clogged with plaque.
- Next, the artery is shown with a balloon catheter in place.
- The third stage depicts the artery with the plaque pushed back against the arterial walls as it would be after the balloon had been inflated and deflated a number of times to clear a pathway for blood.
- Overall dimensions are 12"x 9"
