Watch New Streaming Videos

5 new streaming videos have been added to the HIC monthly videos page. There is no overall theme, but a variety of topics as the the following list indicates:

1. Am I A Candidate for Lasik?
2. Pre-Diabetes
3. Colonoscopy
4. Obesity
5. Urinary Incontinence

Health Library offers Hundreds of Consumer Health Articles

The HIC has purchased the Health Library from the HealthGate company.
Several hundred consumer health articles on conditions and procedures are
included. Animations called "In-Motion" provide excellent multimedia
vignettes of medical procedures.

Other sections from the Health Library include Herbs and Supplements and
Journal News, excellent summaries from professional journals written for
the layperson

Stay informed of important health issues by
watching streaming videos on the HIC web site.

Every month, 5 new videos, some in languages
other than English, will be available to
campus users and the general public.

Both dial-up and broadband users will be able
to view these videos.
