Bates Visual Guide to Physical Examination, 4th Ed.

To access the Bates Visual Guide to Physical Examination, go to the Blackboard@Upstate site and log in. Anyone with a Groupwise account also has a Blackboard account (see help with Blackboard accounts.)

Once in Blackboard, click on the Courses tab at the top of the page.
Select Health Sciences Library Resources from the Course Catalog section to the right which will take you to the link for the Bates guide.
The first time you use the guide you will need to enter the guide by clicking on enroll ().

To view these videos, you will need Windows Media Player installed on your computer. Each file streams at 300 Kbps (normal view) or 600 Kbps (larger view) and is best accessed with IE over a broadband connection (DSL, cable modem or campus network). System requirements are as follows:

Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher
800 MHz or faster
64 MB RAM or more
Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher (other browsers are not recommended)
Windows 98 SP2 / 2000 / ME / XP
Sound card

Copies on VHS are also available on reserve for use in the library.
