Our mission is to enable students to attend college, who might not otherwise be able to meet its costs. Financial aid consists primarily of loans, with limited scholarships, grants, and part-time employment.

Basic responsibility for financing higher education rests with the student and their family. Assistance from SUNY Upstate Medical University is offered only to supplement the efforts of the student and family. Financial aid is offered to students who demonstrate eligibility and cannot exceed the total cost of attendance.
