Medical Illustration Services
Medical Illustration & Graphics creates visual resources to support Upstate's mission in teaching, patient education, research and publication. We can provide any type of graphic or illustration that will clarify your written words.
- Line art (black & white)
- Full color
Time required for the completion of each project is determined by the complexity of the illustrations. For example:
| Simple line drawings, (1 - 6) | 1 week |
| Moderate complexity, (1 – 6) | 2 – 3 weeks |
| Complex illustrations | 1+ month |
We try to accommodate all requests, so please call to discuss your needs.
Flash Animations
An animation may be the ideal solution to clarify a concept or a biomedical process that is difficult to convey with a static illustration.
Flash animations are intensive projects. Please allow at least 2 months for project completion. This, of course, is dependent on the length and difficulty of the animation. Please call ahead to speak with the artist about your ideas and we can define a more accurate turn-a-round time for completion of your project. And remember, the early bird catches the worm.

A project request usually requires an initial meeting where we discuss your goals, the use of the project, your audience, deadlines and other pertinent information. A draft of the project is created and reviewed by the client. Upon final approval, the job is completed.
