Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) IRB Course

Getting Started

The CITI Institutional Review Board (IRB) course is to be completed by all clinical staff within 12-months of hire date. You will be notified as exempt by the IRB Office if your name is listed on the IRB Protocol.

"All clinical staff" includes:

• RNs
• Social Workers
• Case Managers
• Physical Therapists
• Occupational Therapists
• Pharmacists
• Respitory Therapists
• Dieticians
• Nurse Practicioners, Physician Assistants caring for patients involved in Research studies (outpatient and inpatient areas)

Instructions for CITI IRB Course – Initial or Refresher

CITI IRB web-based education, initially completed within 12-months of hire, is valid for 3 years. Staff should then complete the REFRESHER COURSE every 3 years unless notified by the IRB Office that their name is listed on the IRB Protocol.
