Support Groups at HealthLink

A support group for women diagnosed with breast cancer in the Central New York area. Topics include meditation, humor, massage therapy, spirituality, nutrition, herbal therapy, exercise, portfolio management, art therapy, communications, and using the internet to find quality information. Expert speakers present one of these topics weekly.

Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support and Information Group helps men cope with prostate cancer by offering community-based education and support for patients and their family members.

Meets on Last Thursday of Every Month (Except Dec.) at 5:00pm.

The Look Good Feel Great Support Group program is for women dealing with the affects of treatment on their image, they do not have to be in active treatment, it is open to any cancer survivor. It also serves as a mini support group once the women get talking, but it is generally just makeup that has been donated, they go through the steps of applying it, having fun with it, and leave with the makeup. We have discussions concerning such things as scarves and turbans, and wigs also. We do have wigs available as well at the office for free; they just need to make an appointment by calling Stephanie at 433-5658

Meets on Second Monday of Every Month (Except August and Dec.) at 2:00pm.

The Upstate Laryngectomy Group is for the rehabilitation of people after having a total laryngectomy, and their caregivers, by providing information, support, and the opportunity to share experiences.

Meets on First Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m.
