The Hematology/Oncology Group

Welcome to Hematology/Oncology

Hematologists/Oncologists have special expertise in diseases of the blood and cancer. They provide chemotherapy treatments and bone marrow transplants for cancer care. Problems of coagulation, anemia, and other blood disorders are treated with transfusions, phlebotomy, and iron infusions. Certain offices also treat other diseases that require infusional therapies.. SUNY Upstate Medical University provides adult Hematology/Oncology services on an inpatient basis at University Hospital in Syracuse and on a consulting basis at Oswego Hospital and Oneida Healthcare. Outpatient services are provided at the Regional Oncology Center in Syracuse, the Hill Medical Center in Syracuse, the Oswego Hospital POB and at our office in Oneida on Seneca Street, across from Oneida Healthcare.

Services are provided to patients from a 17-county radius around Central New York. The doctors on staff are board certified in Hematology, Oncology or both. The physicians are supported by Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Case Managers, specially trained Registered Nurses and other support staff.
