David R. Smith, former Chancellor of Texas Tech and former Texas Commissioner of Health, is the new president of SUNY Upstate Medical University. HLOA host Trisha Torrey will ask this academician AND pediatrician about his social activism, his interest in driving public health policy, and the role academic medicine should play in changing the rules.

dose or a therapeutic treatment will be exactly what is needed to treat that
disease. Therapeutic also refers to what is good for the individual and is often
healthy, such as a specific diet may be therapeutic or a certain behavior
such as exercise or meditation could be therapeutic.
