David R. Smith, former Chancellor of Texas Tech and former Texas Commissioner of Health, is the new president of SUNY Upstate Medical University. Definition: Concerning the specific treatment of a disease – using a therapeutic
dose or a therapeutic treatment will be exactly what is needed to treat that
disease. Therapeutic also refers to what is good for the individual and is often
healthy, such as a specific diet may be therapeutic or a certain behavior
such as exercise or meditation could be therapeutic.
