Definition: The term neuropathy by itself refers to damage of the nerves. There are
many kinds of neuropathy but their symptoms are similar, including
numbness, weakness, burning pain and/or loss of reflexes.
Sometimes the symptoms are associated with particular diseases
such as diabetic neuropathy, which is a complication
of diabetes which results in nerve problems.
