Law, Ethics, and Physician-Patient Relationship; End-of -Life Issues; Ethical/Legal Issues in Genetics
RESEARCH ABSTRACT
As Associate Professor at CBH, Dr. Olick teaches medical ethics and health law and is the Director of the Ethical, Legal and Social Issues in Medicine (ELSIM) component of the Practice of Medicine curriculum for all first year medical students. He also teaches Bioethics at the Bedside for third year students. Previous positions include having served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Bioethics Commission.
Published writings address a range of topics at the intersection of law, medicine, ethics and public policy. His first book is in the area of end-of-life decisions. He is also co-author of a book on genetic research with stored human tissues.
