Study Title:

A Concurrently Controlled Study of the LimiFlex™ Paraspinous Tension Band in the Treatment of Lumbar Degenerative Spondylolisthesis with Spinal Stenosis

What is the purpose of the study? (in Layman's terms, please describe the study)

The LimiFlex Paraspinous Tension Band has not been used on patients in the United States, but it has been used in more than 2,000 patients outside the United States. The preliminary information indicates that the device can be successfully implanted, but long term information is not available. Part of the reason for this study is to show the safety and effectiveness (success) of the LimiFlex Device for spinal stabilization. Information or data from the two groups of patients participating in this study will be compared to see if the LimiFlex Paraspinous Tension Band is safe and effective.
