Ying Huang, MD, PhD, Associate professor of Pharmacology (far left), received an NIH grant in 2008 for $1,465,988 for five years to support her research on a novel tumor suppressor lipase involved in colon cancer.
Two of her PhD students, Lingyan Jiang and Ki Lui (above), have been awarded Department of Defense pre-doctoral fellowships for their research on breast cancer. Each fellowship is worth $97,200 over three years.
