(outpatient evaluation and management)
Phone: 315 464-6527
Fax: 315 464-6529
Hours of Operation: Outpatient Practice at University Internists
8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
All new patients are required to bring:
- Insurance card to their initial visit
- Available records
- List of medications
New patient consults should be prepared to spend a minimum of .5 to 1 hour in the office for an office visit which includes preparation, physician time, and discharge time. Subsequent visits will usually take less time, dependent on whether the patient is scheduled for a diagnostic test on the same day as their appointment. Reminder calls are made by the secretarial staff 2 days in advance.
Cancellations and appointments which must be rescheduled can most efficiently be handled by calling the necessary office.
Emergencies
A physician is available by phone 24 hours a day and is reached through the main phone numbers. When patients call the appropriate phone number, their call will be transferred to the answering service who will relay the message to the on-call physician. The on-call physician or resident will respond to the call as soon as possible for further guidance.
Life-threatening Emergencies
Patients should call 911 for an ambulance to transport them to the nearest hospital or emergency department.
