The Pediatric and Adolescent Immunology and Infectious Disease Center provides
comprehensive inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children
and adolescents with unusual infections or unusual manifestations of common
infections.
The Center also provides information and advice for individuals
travelling to or from foreign countries. State-of-the-art diagnostic facilities
and access to new therapies are available through participation in clinical
research protocols. The center is the only site in Central New York that provides
care for infants and children with suspected or known HIV/AIDS infection. The
center also coordinates care with the Obstetrics/ Gynecology services to assist
in the care of pregnant women with HIV.
