About the Developmental Evaluation Center

Since opening in 1982, the MLW/DEC has specialized in evaluating children with complex developmental difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders.

The MLW/DEC has an interdisciplinary staff that include:

• Physicians
• Psychologists
• Speech/Language Pathologists
• Occupational Physical Therapists
• Nurses
• Special Educators

The MLW/DEC is jointly funded though:

• New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD)
• University Hospital
