Volunteering

Volunteers and students have been our main source of strength in helping us to extend the existing Child Life Program. If you choose to be a Child Life Volunteer, you will assist a Child Life Specialist in one of the pediatric areas.

When deciding which assignment is the best match for you at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, consider your interests, your working style, any special talents or skills you have, and what hours you’ll be available. Volunteer assignments are available in both the pediatric inpatient and outpatient areas.

Teen Volunteers (16 years old) may apply for the summer only. Potential volunteers interested in working directly with patients must be willing to make a weekly commitment for an extended period of time.
