International Applicants

Thank you for your interest in the Pediatric Residency Training Program here at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.

As you are probably aware, Pediatric Residency Programs across the country use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) . You can find more out about ERAS through their web site. We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) . We are always interested in receiving applications from qualified International medical graduates. We are specifically looking for those who have post-graduate training in pediatrics. Clinical U.S. experience is also important. We must inform you we only sponsor our foreign medical graduates on the J-1 visa (no H-1 visas—no exceptions). In addition, we are only looking for applicants willing to complete three full three years of training in our program. After we receive your completed application through ERAS, we will contact you about the possibility of setting up an interview. Please note that our institution is not able to offer any kind of observerships or electives to visiting physicians.
