Program Description: Successful applicants will jointly represent the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and the Department of Family Medicine of SUNY Upstate Medical University at the Summer Internship Program of the Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics. Although potential summer interns typically apply directly to the Yale program, the Research Experience in Ethics and Health (REEH) program offers several enhancements of the program:
Up to two applicants will be selected for participation. Each participant will receive a $2000 stipend to cover costs associated with summer expenses while at Yale for the 10-week period, and additionally, tuition will be paid directly by the REEH program to Yale for participation in the Summer Internship Program.
Applicants will propose an area of research that they wish to explore during the Bioethics Summer Seminar, and topics should fall within the intersection of ethics and health. Applications proposing to work in any of the following areas are of particular interest:

Application Requirements & Instructions:
Paper applications should include Undergraduate and graduate transcripts, a relevant writing sample, and a letter of intent describing the applicant’s motivation to participate in the REEH program, and a proposed area of research to be pursued.
NOTE: Applicants DO NOT need to apply to the Yale program directly. To participate as a REEH fellow, the application materials described above should be sent to either:
