Mission
To create a culture of quality education, wherein good teaching is valued and rewarded, and Medical College faculty are motivated to enjoy their participation in teaching and to improve their teaching skills.
Goals
To identify faculty needs and to provide the resources and support required for excellent teaching at state-of-the-art levels.
To promote educational activities among the faculty aimed at improving teaching skills.
To create an Academy of Medical Educators (consisting of faculty members identified as talented teachers) as an organizational structure to carry out these goals in a self-sustaining manner.
To help guide the College of Medicine toward closer alignment of resources and rewards with excellence and innovation in carrying out the teaching mission.

Dr. Weinberger has developed an annual series of seminars on faculty development (primarily in the fields of teaching and education and touching as well on research and promotion/tenure issues), as well a successful annual.

Educational Communications - Ed Comm's services include the support of student computing, video conferencing, PC training, photography, audio-visual services, medical illustration, graphic design, multimedia production, video technologies, and audio-visual systems. 464-xxxx
MedEdPORTAL is a new publishing venue through which faculty may disseminate their educational works. It was designed to promote collaboration and educational scholarship by facilitating the exchange of peer reviewed teaching resources such as tutorials, cases, lab manuals, assessment instruments, faculty development materials, etc.
SUNY Training Center (SUNY TC) - is a component of Advanced Learning and Information Services in the office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The SUNY TC is a special-purpose, system-wide organization within SUNY that promotes the use of leading-edge educational technologies throughout the State University.
The Center makes training and professional development available on a diverse list of multi-media systems and hundreds of software programs. More so, it acts as a catalyst for the development of educational technologies on individual campuses.
