Strategic Planning at Upstate and SUNY

Upstate Medical University’s strategic planning process — Engaging Excellence — began in 2006 to prepare our campus for a formal strategic plan, which will launch in early 2010. Upstate’s strategic plan will be in alignment with the SUNY strategic plan.

SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher is leading the formation and implementation of a SUNY-wide strategic plan that will guide SUNY for the next five years and advise SUNY in its development for the next ten years. This ambitious collaborative planning process includes a series of statewide conversations, including one on Health Affairs hosted by Upstate Medical University in February.
