Temporal Bone Laboratory

Each spring, residents participate in a temporal bone dissection course in the department’s temporal bone laboratory in Room 5322 Weiskotten Hall.  Each session is proceeded by a lecture focusing on the anatomy, surgical technique, and clinical application of the days dissection.  Residents receive two temporal bones each; one must be submitted on the final day for evaluation by the faculty.  The award for the best temporal bone dissection is awarded at the department's end of the year graduation ceremony.
