Jay M. Scott is a Project Director and Clinical Instructor for the Department of Emergency Medicine. Jay has served NYS as a Paramedic since 1985 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from SUNY Empire State College. Jay holds instructor certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support. He is a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) and the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE). He serves as the Chairman of the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for EMS (CECBEMS) and is a founding member of the NAEMSE, EMS Educators Certification Board of Directors. For leisure, Jay coaches an indoor soccer team and practices home woodworking. He also is a certified black belt in Kenpo karate.
